This designation, as announced by the NCOA (National Council on Aging) is given to interventions, practices, or models that have been rigorously evaluated and shown, through empirical research, to produce reliable and consistently positive outcomes in important measures such as health. This review was done through the Administration for Community Living (ACL) Evidence-Based Program Review Process.

ABOUT THE PRODUCTS:

Tai Chi for Diabetes DVD - Designed to Help Prevent and Manage Diabetes

Dr Paul Lam, along with a team of medical and tai chi experts, created the Tai Chi for Diabetes program to prevent and improve the control of diabetes. His team incorporated medical research and traditional Chinese medicine to make tai chi safer, more effective and accessible. This empowering program, supported by Diabetes Australia, has helped many people with and without diabetes gain better health, improve balance, immunity, relaxation and quality of life.

UPDATE: In 2025, Tai Chi for Diabetes has been officially recognised as an Evidence-Based Program (EBP) by the U.S. Administration for Community Living. This designation affirms that Tai Chi for Diabetes meets rigorous standards for improving health and wellness, particularly among older adults managing chronic conditions.

Tai Chi for Diabetes Handbook

Designed to complement Tai Chi for Diabetes. This handbook assumes you are learning the program from an instructor or by studying the DVD. It is designed to assist you with your practice. It provides a handy summary of all movements with photographs and instructions.

Tai Chi Music (Vol. 1) CD

The four beautiful and relaxing pieces of music are composed to enhance Tai Chi practise and performance. The 4 pieces of music correlate to the 4 major styles of Tai Chi. Dr Paul Lam believes tai chi music should be energising, enhancing and relaxing, with the flow and rhythm of Tai Chi. He has worked with the composer Jenny Ly to achieve these aims.

Tai Chi Music (Vol. 2) CD

This music CD was produced to complement and enhance the practice of Dr Paul Lam's Tai Chi for Health programs. For the artists on this recording, it was a journey to express in music the feelings aroused by Tai Chi. They hope that you will hear the same beauty and inner strength that Tai Chi inspired in them.

Tai Chi Music (Vol. 3) CD

This music CD was produced to complement and enhance the practice of Dr Paul Lam's Tai Chi for Health programs. The fifteen tracks are a journey through diverse musical landscapes, from traditional folk melodies to more modern ambient sound sculptures to flowing meditations on movement. We hope you will hear the same beauty and inner strength that Tai Chi has inspired in us.
