Didn't know what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised how relaxed, serene and calm I feel every time I do your Tai Chi for Memory Lesson! The Dan Tian Breathing and the Washing of the Chi are particularly enriching and are my very favorites!

The Power of Tai Chi for Memory

Posted by Lois Bascom on 16th Sep 2021

I am teaching Tai Chi for Memory at my local senior center. They received a grant for this class, which includes money for the purchase of the DVD. The 20% off for the month of September helped to make this purchase possible. I love this DVD, where the lessons are clear and concise. Especially the Ring the Mind Bell quigong. I use it many times a day for myself and find word retrieval no longer such an issue for me! Wow!! Participants appreciate having this DVD so they and their care givers can practice during the week. They, too, are amazed at the power of Ring Your Mind Bell. Everyone is experiencing various degrees of success with this one part of the program. I became certified to teach this program in June, at the Week Long Conference. Thank you Dr. Lam, for creating this program and this DVD.

    Very helpful

Posted by Unknown on 13th Jul 2019

I chose Tai Chi for Memory because I am in the early stages of a progressive dementia disorder. Dr. Lam's lessons are excellent and easy to follow. I would, however, make one suggestion. Sometimes when Dr. Lam faces the camera he does "mirror image" movements, and other times not--without necessarily identifying which is which until he mentions "right" or "left" in directing the form. I find this confusing. For my own needs I would prefer that he do "mirror image" movements whenever he is facing the camera. The ability to reverse my movements while copying a demonstration becomes more difficult as dementia progresses.

    TCM is Terrific

Posted by Irene Goetze on 5th Aug 2018

I am thrilled with Tai Chi for Memory and cannot wait to go through the training so that I can offer the program to members of my community. While there are elements of other TCH programs, there are aspects of this program that are unique and make it a welcome addition to my Tai Chi teaching repretoire. I believe that the relative brevity of the program will make it easy to learn and practice. One of my goals is to provide classes for for individuals with dementia and their caregivers to help ensure that the form will be practiced after the class is over. And since all Tai Chi us good fir everyone, I will add Tai Chi for Memory to my other Tai Chi classes.

    Liked Tai Chi For Memory

Posted by Phyllis Drescher on 17th Jul 2018

I have been showing this tape to all four of my Senior Tai Chi Classes from the beginner to the advanced. Every class has liked watching it and we have started practicing some of the moves. What I liked most was the messages. There was a lot of information there. Memory loss becomes more of an issue as we age and we are in that category right now. I would like to say thank you for helping my students and I to understand more about our memory loss. Phyllis Connecticut USA
