Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA)-12 lessons with Dr Lam - recommended by CDC (Scroll down to see the free first lesson)

In 1996, Dr Lam with a team of medical and tai chi experts created this safe and easy to learn program. Medical studies confirm Tai Chi for Arthritis relieves pain, reduces falls and improves quality of life, that is why the Arthritis organisations around the world advocate this program and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (www.CDC.gov) recommends it for fall prevention.

What is special about this DVD is that you will feel as though you are participating in Dr Lam’s class. After a brief introduction of what Tai Chi for Arthritis is and how this DVD can benefit you, Dr Lam will teach you with step-by-step instructions, lead you to practice and explain the reason behind every move. At the conclusion of the DVD Dr Lam will demonstrate the set from both front and back views. The unique music was composed with the rhythm and energy especially for this program!

It presents the entire program including warm up and cool down in a user friendly format. Dr Lam incorporates the tai chi principles to enhance your understanding and enjoyment.

    Wonderful pace

Posted by Unknown on 25th Apr 2017

The pace of instruction includes repeats of the movements. The pace is excellent for those of us who are learning the movements for the first time. The menu allows for us to repeat easily. The only suggestion I would make for the next DVD is to vary the warm-ups.

Excellent Beginning for Arthritics and Seniors

Step by step. Each lesson can be viewed and followed over and over until the movements become ingrained into muscle memory. Each lessons includes the warm up and cool down to make each lesson a complete workout.

    Best instructional dvd out there

Posted by John Arnold on 21st Apr 2017

I possess a large Tai Chi DVD collection. The TCA DVD by Dr Lam is by far the best instructional DVD out there, any style. This DVD sets the bar for all other instructional Tai Chi media. I own some pretty fancy Tai Chi videos that are basically worthless when it comes to learning. What good is it if you can't see or hear what the instructor is trying to teach? Dr Lam must of worked hard with a team to bring easy to understand and follow lessons to anyone desiring to bring Tai Chi into their life. Well worth your time and money.

    Tai Chi for Arthritis

Posted by Keith on 14th Apr 2017

I have learned 6 different forms of Tai Chi. I am doing this one to help myself and parents due to arthritis and injuries. It is nice that you show or explain how to do it if you need to sit or use some type of support. I would recommend this to anyone with health issues who wishes to get back in shape and work on their strength and flexibility.

    More Challenging

While this set is much more challenging, it follows the same format and is very effective. I feel great!

Very easy on this old body!

Posted by Terry L. on 10th Mar 2017

I love the very easy moves and the overall workout. I am a senior with body injuries, arthritis, and multiple physical ailments. I stopped working out, lifting weights etc because of this. Now I have something to keep me moving in a less harmful way. I have only two wishes. 1.closed captioning as I am deaf. I skip pass the introduction because I cannot hear. 2. The exercises were all together. Meaning, so I don't have to stop and fast forward to the next set, 1-12 were all together. Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase. Highly recommend. Thank you!

    Tai Chi for Arthritis

Posted by Carol Willis-Holden on 28th Feb 2017

I love this exercise and so do all my classes! There are so many wonderful results that occur when doing this particular form: you can feel the chi being activiated, there's an incredible sense of relaxation and well-being, and it really makes your brain work! Undboutedly, I'll be purchasing more of Dr. Lam's dvds to share his methods with my classes!

The best way to learn Tai Chi

Posted by Camille Torgeson on 15th Feb 2017

The Tai Chi for Arthritis DVD's are clear and easy to follow for those who need to hear the instructions and well as see the movements from all angles. Learning Tai Chi can be a challenge but this makes it easy for most anyone to pick up the ideas expressed by Dr. Lam. I love using this program with my students who are older, many with arthritis, many with other disease complications. They all take a lot away when using this program.
