Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA)-12 lessons with Dr Lam - recommended by CDC (Scroll down to see the free first lesson)

In 1996, Dr Lam with a team of medical and tai chi experts created this safe and easy to learn program. Medical studies confirm Tai Chi for Arthritis relieves pain, reduces falls and improves quality of life, that is why the Arthritis organisations around the world advocate this program and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (www.CDC.gov) recommends it for fall prevention.

What is special about this DVD is that you will feel as though you are participating in Dr Lam’s class. After a brief introduction of what Tai Chi for Arthritis is and how this DVD can benefit you, Dr Lam will teach you with step-by-step instructions, lead you to practice and explain the reason behind every move. At the conclusion of the DVD Dr Lam will demonstrate the set from both front and back views. The unique music was composed with the rhythm and energy especially for this program!

It presents the entire program including warm up and cool down in a user friendly format. Dr Lam incorporates the tai chi principles to enhance your understanding and enjoyment.

    RE-Learning Balance

Posted by Steve on 7th Jun 2020

I bought these DVD's as I injured my knee at my former place of employment. I found out that not only did I sprain my knee, but that I had arthritis in my injured knee. I did about 3 weeks Physical Therapy, but had to stop as Workers Comp would only pay until I was released back to work. I found out about the program on YouTube and spoke to my PT about it. He recommended it, so I bought the DVD's. I am regaining the balance I lost and love the low-impact!

Currently using seated tai-chi dvd, hoping to graduate to standing

I bought the second dvd hoping to 'graduate' from seated tai chi to standing tai chi soon. With the discount it made more sense to buy them both at the same time.

    Tai dhi for Arthritis

I have been taking Tai Chi At our Senior Center until covid 19 stopped that. I liked the DVD except that when you want to do all of the lessons you had to put a different disk in. I also hoped it would go further than it did.

So helpful for to keep moving

Posted by Joyce on 5th May 2020

I had been introduced to this program via our senior center exercise classes. His DVD is so much easier than trying to motivate myself to do the forms from printed materials. The best part, is you can repeat the lessons and the routines as many times as you like until you get it right. And having him lead the routine facing the same way as the viewer, as well as having another view of the front of the class really helps me follow along. Great job!

    Invaluable Resource

Posted by Susan Parry on 23rd Jan 2020

I recently bought Dr Lam’s DVD’s and am sooo glad I did. They are deceptively slow paced and that’s only part of why I deem them invaluable. (The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The slow pace gives the lesson time to sink into ) the student’s’ memory. I also find them invaluable because Of the mental stimulation gained by listening to the thoughtful explanations, This has helped me to not only fine tune my physical movements, but to also gain mental awareness of why we do what we do. I plan on getting certified to teach Tai Chi in a few months and am convinced that these DVD’s will be great reference tools for years to come. I learn something new each time I watch them.

    Excellent Learning Experience

Posted by Yamile on 13th Jul 2019

This program is very easy to follow. The way Dr Lam explains and demonstrates the moves makes it doable for a "newbie ". I also love the educational part of it. I hope to teach this program one day, and I want to do it with confidence. The education you get through this program is indeed very valuable.
