Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA)-12 lessons with Dr Lam - recommended by CDC (Scroll down to see the free first lesson)

In 1996, Dr Lam with a team of medical and tai chi experts created this safe and easy to learn program. Medical studies confirm Tai Chi for Arthritis relieves pain, reduces falls and improves quality of life, that is why the Arthritis organisations around the world advocate this program and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (www.CDC.gov) recommends it for fall prevention.

What is special about this DVD is that you will feel as though you are participating in Dr Lam’s class. After a brief introduction of what Tai Chi for Arthritis is and how this DVD can benefit you, Dr Lam will teach you with step-by-step instructions, lead you to practice and explain the reason behind every move. At the conclusion of the DVD Dr Lam will demonstrate the set from both front and back views. The unique music was composed with the rhythm and energy especially for this program!

It presents the entire program including warm up and cool down in a user friendly format. Dr Lam incorporates the tai chi principles to enhance your understanding and enjoyment.

    Could have been higher but

I love the way that Dr Lam explains things & how he goes through everything. Makes it very easy to understand and follow along. What I wish happened on disc 2, was a complete session where it started with the warm up, progressed to the whole demo then ended with the cool down. I have to go back & forth between these 3 exercises rather than just being able to transition from 1 to the next.

    Great Tai Chi Lessons

Posted by Mike D on 29th Feb 2016

Dr Lam does a great job explaining and demonstrating lessons in this DVD.Lessons are easy to follow and go at a pace slow enough for learning forms properly. I have OA of the knee and have found the suggestions DR Lam makes to be of great benefit.Would highly recommend this course.

    Good for Mom... and son

Posted by Ian's Mom on 18th Feb 2016

This purchase was a gift for my grown son who is suffering with back issues resulting from a medical procedure. I was already familiar with the forms on the DVD as I had previously purchased it for myself to complement a Tai Chi for Arthritis class and followed that with the purchase of Tai Chi for Arthritis 2 as I progressed to the next level. It was because I knew how well done the DVD is that I trusted it for my son's situation as well. For students enrolled in a related class, this is a valuable tool to help practice and grasp concepts between classes, as details of each movement are clarified.

    Just What I Needed

Posted by Unknown on 16th Feb 2016

I had a hip replaced a year ago due to osteoarthritis. I wanted something to help strengthen that leg/side without putting stress on my joints. I started a class in Jan. and this video was suggested to help practice at home. It has been very beneficial. I try to attend class twice a week and practice at home (with the video) on the other days. I am already seeing improvement! So glad I started tai chi.

Beneficial workout for arthritis and more

Posted by Unknown on 12th Feb 2016

Dr Lam does a good job taking you through the steps of Tai Chi in a slow and clear manner. It is slow but is meant to be. Great if you are ready to get moving and learn a healthful exercise.

    Balance and Weight Transfer Improvement

Posted by Michael Casey on 12th Feb 2016

I really appreciate the program presentation. Just the right speed and repetitive delivery. The content has been extremely valuable as I really didn't realize how poor my balance and weight transfer were. I have worked through lessons 1-6 and am feeling improvement physically and emotionally. Thank you for making this so easy to achieve results!
