Tai Chi - The 24 Forms

Free first lesson

The ancient practice of tai chi is clinically proven to be one of the most effective exercises to improve health, fitness and relaxation. The 24 Forms is the most widely practiced tai chi form. While there are many variations, the form you will learn by working with this DVD is the one of the most authentic.

Following an introduction to tai chi and its benefits, Dr Lam teaches unique qigong exercises and foundational movements which will enhance your energy and make easier learning. 2. Yang Style 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Aug 2016

Really great I've been wanting to learn yang style, started once a week on the St. Croix river outdoors just beautiful, a great instructor. I knew I had found what I was looking for, Dr. Lams 24 Forms provided a daily workout that complemented the instruction on the St. Croix. His style of teaching is like having a personal instructor everyday I would recommend this and any of his dvds to anyone looking to learn tai chi.

  4. The beauty of Tai Chi 5 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Aug 2016

Dr. Lam brings out the beauty of Tai Chi. This DVD is well put together and I am looking forward to learning the moves to hopefully be able to do them on the beach early in the morning when no one is around.

  5. great start 4 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Jul 2016

Thorough and patient introduction. Mostly what I wanted to help me progress as a beginner . Some of the foundational movements are reviewed carefully for a right handed approach but not left handed. (Or vice versa). When I'm in a group setting I find that my muscle memory fails because I have not practiced both directions.

The video has helped me to realize the difference in leg strength left vs right. This impacts my ability to perform the movements accurately and slowly. My balance is progressing as a result of focusing this way.

I'm just beginning to appreciate the breathing exercises. I didn't appreciate their importance until I watched a different video of the entire 24 step performed unusually slowly. Now I appreciate the desire to slow down my breathing and also focus attention on core abdominal muscles.

I suspect this video will help me for years to come. The product is a very good value. I highly recommend the video.

  6. Excellent instruction 5 Star Review

I previously used Arthritis for Tai Chi I and II and am now learning The 24 Forms. All of these DVD's are excellent.
The forms are taught segment by segment, repeating several times and with both front on and back on views. I would recommend them to anyone interested in exploring Tai Chi

It is great and would refer this site to everyone. I like the number of times Dr. Paul Lam repeat the forms, before moving to the next form. I will buy other DVD's.

  10. A fine guide for all ages. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Mar 2016

Dr. Lam explains and demonstrates the 24 Form clearly and makes it easy for beginners to follow along. Especially benefitial is his inclusion of students at various levels, which assists my students who are primarily over sixty-five years old.
