TAI CHI Sun Style 73 Forms
Free first lesson
Combining two of the most powerful internal arts with tai chi, Sun Lu-tang (1861-1932) created an uniquely powerful style of tai chi. This style places great emphasis on Qigong (exercise to cultivate vital life energy), making it especially effective for cultivating internal energy, which in turn greatly enhance healing and relaxation. The 73 Forms is characterized by agile steps with smooth and flowing movements, like water in a river.
Following an introduction to tai chi and of the benefits you will gain by learning the 73 Forms, Dr Lam will teach warm up exercises and the 73 Forms using simple and proven teaching methods. He will teach the forms from different angles — using close ups, repetitions and diagrammed illustrations while dividing each form into small sections allowing you to follow along with ease. Throughout the lessons, Dr Lam will explain the tai chi principles and the unique Sun style tai chi energy with throughout the DVD.
Features:
• Step-by-step comprehensive instructions
• Close-ups, repetitions, different angles and foot prints to facilitate learning
• Specially composed theme music
• Demonstrations (front and back on views) of the entire set by Dr Lam

Excellent Tool for Learning T'ai Chi
My husband and I are very pleased with the step-wise approach that Dr. Lam provides in this training DVD. We especially like the repetitive sequences he goes through to teach a move. I must temper that with the fact that we have been through classes with live teachers, but no longer live in a community that can provides it. Nonetheless, this program is invaluable for us to continue our growth in T'ai Chi. We like the explanations he gives about the overall impacts of TC, as well as the explanations of how to do each step, especially integrating the breathing, how to breath, when and where to balance, etc. While we have had live teaching, we like the ability to repeat the sequence of DVD many, many times to cement our technique. We view the full demonstration frequently to see how the moves glide together and reveiw the big picture.

Anticipation!
I'm currently working through the full set of Tai Chi for Arthritis DVDs, and I purchased this one in the recent December sale. It is my goal once I've internalized all of the movements from the Arthritis series. I find Dr Lam's style very helpful and easy to follow - which is most unusual for DVD instruction videos. I do have access to a local instructor certified to teach Sun style, but it is very helpful to have these DVDs at home as a reference between classes.

Excellent Instruction for Sun Style 73 Form
I have recently started learning the Sun Style 73 form in our class. I enjoy it so much that I also looked on you tube for anything and saw some of Dr Lam's demonstrations, so I had an idea about what I was getting. But it is even better because the format gives you many options for viewing and the instruction is excellent. It allows to you go through the CD all at once, view front and back demos separately, go through the step by step instruction all at once, or each step individually. Very nice if you want to review one of the 73 steps or follow along with Dr Lam in front or back demos of the complete form. Also, Dr Lam's instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Sun Style 73 form
Dr. Lam's teaching is excellent. After learning Tai Chi for Arthritis Part 1 and Part 2 (based on Sun Style Tai Chi), this 73 forms seemed to be the nature progression for me. As in the previous two DVDs, Dr. Lam taught this more lengthy and complicated routine with the same highly effect teaching method. Dr. Lam also took time to explain variation moves and the reason behind them (some movement were risky). Having a background in Chen Style Tai Chi and know a few moves in Hsing-I and Ba-gua, I really enjoy the synthesis of an unique style which includes all three internal martial arts.

Easy learning
Using the Sun style program. I like Dr. Lam's teaching style. He makes learning the movements stress-free. His method has a nice pace allowing beginners to easily absorb each step. By far, the best DVD instruction for learning Tai Chi on your own.

Changed our lives
My wife and I decided to learn Tai Chi after years of Yoga practice. The results are amazing. Dr. Lam is a great teacher. Tai Chi has helped us to concentrate, to relax, and we feel stronger. We look forward to our daily workouts with Dr. Lam who has actually helped me be calm and patient. Everyone can do this and should. Thank you Dr. Lam.

Video works great for extra practice
I am taking a Sun Style Tai Chi class. The video is very helpful in reviewing certain parts of the movement. I especially like the section where you go over the movements you have recently learned.
