Rehabilitation
I have been taking Tai Chi for Energy from several instructors at the YMCA around the TwinCities area. One happened to remark that Tai Chi for Rehabilitation was an introduction to Energy, a trilogy including Energy 1 and 2, and she included this as a prelude to Energy. I bought one and was surprised that no other instructor included this short sequence. Although breathing has been emphasized none has giving much instruction in this part of all the Tai Chi practices. I have always had trouble with seemingly simple feature. Right off the bat your instruction in clarifying the dan tian breathing method was extremely helpful and this was only the first lesson! Harmonizing Yin and Yang has had a new dimension to my ongoing practice!

excellent video
I bought this video, Tai Chi for Rehabilitation because I'm interested in teaching people with limited abilities. the tai chi is clear and I'm impressed that the form is made up of authentic postures yet gentle and simple enough for teaching in a few weeks.

Helped me recover when other programs failed
I've been recovering from a neurological injury for the last year and a half. I tried programs for circuit training and active yoga, targeted for people like me who are recovering from injury, but they were too intense and didn't improve my energy and strength for long. I tried Dr. Lam's free introductory video online before I ordered the DVD and have enjoyed much improvement in my energy levels, mood, posture, and overall internal strength. I think I am even losing excess weight with Tai Chi when the high-intensity programs didn't give me that result! My energy levels have been stable for the last 6 weeks, for the first time since my injury. I really appreciate Dr. Lam's gentle, encouraging approach that helps me feel capable, and keeps me coming back each morning for another session of practice. I work in healthcare and have long believed that life energy is an important, but often neglected (in Western medicine), aspect of health and disease. My experience with this DVD confirms that Chi can be the missing piece when recovery hits a roadblock.

excellent dvd. right up there with Dr Lams others
This is just like being in class. We have done this so many times. Seem like we know Dr Lam's other students with him on DVD.
-
powerful short routine
This very short routine is magical in how energy flow it brings. I am a 20 year practitioner and instructor and have incorporated this into my daily practice. It is especially valuable when time or space is limited.

Great instruction
This is probably the best Tai Chi DVD I've seen

good for a beginner
I am enjoying this dvd. However, there needs to be an option for a warm up and cool down 'run through' like there are for the forms. It is frustrating being forced to listen to Dr Lam's tutorial for each move, when all you want to do is do the moves. I would like to buy more dvds, but I hope they aren't all like this.

A masterpiece that anyone can own
I had to buy a new copy for myself, because I have given away several. From the warm-ups to the cool-downs, and most of all, the Rehabilitation Form itself, this is a masterpiece. I do the form for myself as part of my daily practice, and I can recommend it to students as a short form which can be learned in 6 lessons, and practiced daily for the rest of one's life. The healing potential of tai chi practice has been widely remarked on, and the Rehabilitation Form is an easy-access way to begin the healing journey.
