  1. Tai Chi For Balance and Fall Prevention 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th May 2019

I ordered Tai Chi for Diabetes and Tai Chi for Rehabilitation because these are the movements my instructor is teaching. She as well as on the DVD broke down the movements step by step with the hands and then with the feet. It made learning the movements easier and faster which increased my confidence "that I can do this." I have learned the warm up exercise and the basic movements so I am able to practice on my own without the DVD. This weekend, I learned how to do the advance movements and now looking forward to practicing on my own. The instructions are perfect, I need to concentrate on "slow movement" and "bent knees."

  2. Tai Chi for Diabetes DVD 5 Star Review

Although I live in USA where western medicine is popular, I find that Traditional Chinese Medicine works most effectively for me.
Dr. Lam's Tai Chi for Arthritis DVDS have been my most valued tool for improving balance and mindfulness when walking.
When I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and the prospect of managing it with Western medicine, I was delighted to find Dr. Lam's Tai Chi for Diabetes DVD to use along with prescribed treatments to help the management and healing process. As Western medicine helps to manage the physical symptoms, experience helps me know that Tai Chi will balance my Chi to unblock the flow of energy and allow healing at the deepest spiritual, mental, and physical levels.

  3. Very Good Instructor 5 Star Review

I have not started on this DVD yet as I am still working my way through the Beginner's DVD. If this one is as good as the Beginner DVD it will be a winner as well. I love Dr. Lam's way of instructing and his voice is so relaxing. So happy I purchased these videos. Well worth the money.

  4. Tai Chi DVD 5 Star Review

At first, I found the instruction very slow. As I've watched and learned from it, I've come to appreciate and understand why it must be slow. I look forward to being able to do the exercises on my own without the DVD every time. I'm finding that what looks slow and easy at first is very complicated at my age (66) and am thankful for the pace at which this is presented.

  5. Love the routine but found the CD difficult to follow 4 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jul 2017

I am new to Tai Chi and am taking classes from a wonderful instructor (trained by Dr Lam). This is the third Tai Chi "routine" i have learned, first was Tai Chi for Energy, next Tai Chi for Osteoporosis and now Tai Chi for Diabetes. I have purchased each CD so I could practice on days there were no classes. I found Tai Chi for Diabetes CD very difficult to follow compared to the other two. The most difficult form (stroking the bird's tail) was really hard to learn - I couldn't see the hand motions when the demonstrator had his back to me and have enough left/right issues to find it impossible to "translate" movements (left to right) when looking at Dr Lam facing me. Also, the warmup exercises were different than on the other CDs.

  6. Ah-mah-ZING 5 Star Review

I have fibromyalgia and have had to do warmups and forms very slowly building up gradually. I looked back at when I first started which was Dec 5, 2016 until today, I cannot believe how much better I feel and how much stronger feel. I only wish I lived in Australia to go to Dr. Lam's classes in person. You are the best Dr. Lam Thank you so much for pursuing your vision and helping people like me to live a much more active life style.

I have Type 2 Diabetes and my doctor wants me to exercise. I also have osteopenia and arthritis in the lower back and hips. I just started this DVD and found it easy to follow. I feel good that I can exercise safely and I am looking forward to stabilizing my balance and gaining some flexibility.
