Outstanding opportunity to learn this powerful form in simple, detailed, clearly illustrated steps. Best tai chi learning video I have seen. Especially appreciate the repeated opportunity to follow along each form multiple times to practice each move with both the back and front views. Clear as day. Very little difference than if you were in class with Dr Lam.

This is a wonderful transition from 24 Form toward 73 Form. Not only do you practice familiar movements but there is gentle introduction to new forms and movements

    Extraordinary learning experience

Posted by Marshall Garland on 8th Jun 2020

I have been practicing Tai Chi for over 20 years and have been teaching Yang Style 24-form Simplified for about five years. I have studied with great instructors both in-person and online. I highly commend Dr Lam on the quality, not only of his teaching, but also of his 42-form instructional DVD. The recording is sharp and clear. The audio is excellent. Dr Lam's explanations and demonstrations are easy to follow and make the learning experience easy and a pleasure. To Dr Lam, a thousand thank-yous and congratulations on producing such a fine piece of instructional work.

Best organization I've seen for learning a Tai Chi sequence

Posted by David Dugas, Austin TX on 24th May 2020

I have studied 3 martial arts and have started and stopped my Tai Chi with international changes in location and work. Back in the USA, I began relearning the long Yang form, then recalled the 24-48 combined set I started learning in Korea. I found a good DVD presentation and learned the 24 form sequence. When I began searching for the 48 form sequence, I found Dr. Lam's videos and his commentary about the combined 42 form sequence. It is this DVD about which I am commenting. I taught at university for about 15 years and have created many courses in science and language (EFL). I have learned Tai Chi from videos and DVD before, so I was pleasantly surprised at how well organized this DVD is for distant learning. In particular, the sequential instruction of individual forms is very helpful. What makes the DVD presentation exceptional is the way in which the DVD is organized so that individual lessons can be accessed quickly and easily from a single screen for repetition. Then the full sequence is presented from multiple aspects, which is necessary to detect details of body position in three dimensions. Overall, I would rate this the most effective DVD I have ever seen or used for distance training by a Tai Chi teacher. The teaching experience of Dr. Lam is clear and I am grateful that I found this DVD. Thank you, sifu.

    No Comparison—this technique is superior

Posted by Sue Glick on 23rd Oct 2019

I had been trying to learn this form from internet sites and from Dr. Lam’s old DVD version. There is no comparison with the wonderful new stepwise progressive approach. At last I feel welcomed and confident in learning this form. Much gratitude to Dr. Lam for remembering the learning needs of us intermediate practitioners.
