Thank you for the Tai Chi for Rehabilitation DVD. I use harmonizing yin and yang as I teach classes. My students enjoy it.

I bought this dvd for help in rehabilitation from leg wounds.Demonstrations are shown in both seated and standing positions. I am now doing the routines while seated, but plan on standing as my leg muscles strengthen.
Dr. Lam starts by gently explaining that 'ups and downs, setbacks, and progress is the rhythm of life and nature'.
As I began the movements to balance chi, I immediately noticed less physical pain.Anxiety transformed into calmness as the belief that, as Dr. Lam says, things are looking up took over.
My doctors are very impressed with how quickly my wounds are healing after only a few weeks of treatment. Like many, I have no words to express the love and gratitude to Dr. Lam, his family, and staff for the work and teachings you share.

I am now teaching Tai Chi for Rehabilitation for the first time. I have previously taught Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention. I like the emphasis on dan tien breathing. The Wave Hands is different from the Arthritis version, and that has been a good challenge for my students. Harmonizing Yin and Yang is a good exercise in remembering which is my right and which is my left--something I sometimes have trouble with, much to my husband's amusement.

This is a wonderful DVD for everyone. The form is short and easier to learn than his other forms, making it ideal for even those with health problems. Besides the essentials of the form, Dr. Lam includes a great deal of information that encompasses skills used in all tai chi for health forms. I highly recommend this DVD to all my students to use on a regular basis. Thank you, Dr. Lam.

Energizing, yet easy enough for a person in some form of recovery or rehab to learn, as long as it is presented slowly. Have introduced it to some folks in my classes with great success. They have reported that it has helped their flexibility and relaxation, especially when they practice the dan tian breathing! Can easily be broken down into a several week session for folks recovering from medical issues of some kind.

Dr. Lam dvds have always been some of the best. To get and feel better, all we have to do is watch and practice. M.S.

I have been taking Tai Chi for Energy from several instructors at the YMCA around the TwinCities area. One happened to remark that Tai Chi for Rehabilitation was an introduction to Energy, a trilogy including Energy 1 and 2, and she included this as a prelude to Energy. I bought one and was surprised that no other instructor included this short sequence. Although breathing has been emphasized none has giving much instruction in this part of all the Tai Chi practices. I have always had trouble with seemingly simple feature. Right off the bat your instruction in clarifying the dan tian breathing method was extremely helpful and this was only the first lesson! Harmonizing Yin and Yang has had a new dimension to my ongoing practice!

I bought this video, Tai Chi for Rehabilitation because I'm interested in teaching people with limited abilities.
the tai chi is clear and I'm impressed that the form is made up of authentic postures yet gentle and simple enough for teaching in a few weeks.
